Emma and Joe had an incredible wedding at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, MD. This was a special wedding for many reasons, but especially because Emma was my son’s kindergarten teacher. I happened to be her volunteer room parent, and after seeing how she calmly put up with his nonsense, I knew she’d be an easy bride to work with. 🙂 I was so honored when she asked me to be her wedding photographer.

What I didn’t know is how lucky we would be with the weather. It was an unbelievably nice… sunny and 80 degrees! In DC! In July! I always love photographing weddings or engagement sessions at Brookside Gardens. It is one of those places that has almost endless possibilities for photos. With a variety of beautiful gardens, I know that each couple I photograph there will walk away with unique photos.

Emma and Joe have a great story of how they met (it involves a 7-11), and it’s clear how perfect they are for each other. They each have an adorable child, and it was so beautiful to see them join families. It was a day filled with emotion, laughter, cute kids and a great dance party!
