In February, I had the pleasure of photographing Tyler’s proposal to Washcarina at Meridian Hill Park in Washington, DC. They were visiting for the weekend from New York, so Tyler and I planned everything by phone and email. From the first time I met them, I knew I wanted to photograph their wedding, no matter how far I had to travel! Luckily for me, they wanted me to be their wedding photographer, and arranged for me to come up to New York for their wedding at the Glen Island Harbor Club in New Rochelle. What I didn’t know at the time was that they were planning an amazing reception experience, featuring “La Hora Loca,” a wild, carnivalesque party featuring stilt walkers, showgirls and a giant LED robot. It’s no surprise that these are some of my favorite reception images I’ve ever taken!
